It Started With a Front Tooth.
Dr. Atassi’s interest in dentistry began after an injury to one of his front teeth as a child. He was drawn to work that sat somewhere between art, engineering, and science, and chose dentistry while he was still a teenager.
“I wanted something between art and engineering. I wanted to be a dentist or an architect, but I also liked science, so I leaned toward dentistry.”

The Training Behind the Work.
At UCLA, Dr. Atassi completed a two-year residency in Advanced Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry under Dr. Edward McLaren. He later taught at UCLA after his residency. His continuing education has included the Kois Center, gIDE’s Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry, Spear Education, and advanced training in biomimetic dentistry.

Do It Well.
Dr. Atassi grew up in a family where doing something well was expected. That standard followed him into dentistry. He takes time with the plan, pays attention to the details people actually see, and is willing to recommend less treatment when less treatment is the better answer.

Personal, From the Beginning.
Dr. Atassi knows his patients by name and stays closely involved in the planning of their care. The practice was designed for patients to spend real time here, especially when treatment takes longer than a routine visit. We want people to walk in the office smiling and walk out smiling even more.

Dentistry Where It Is Needed.
Outside the practice, Dr. Atassi volunteers on dental missions serving refugee communities. The work ranges from urgent treatment to complex restorative care completed with limited time and resources.
“It is healing for us much more than healing for them.”
